After a successful career as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, Lisa moved to the defense side of the docket in 1990. As a named partner for over ten years in the firm of Bingham & Mann, she successfully tried cases throughout the state, specializing in the defense of products cases for large, self-insured companies. In 2001, Lisa became a Partner in the firm of Phillips & Akers, where she practiced until 2006, when she left to form BMHG. Today, the major focus of Lisa’s practice is coverage and employment litigation and the defense of large excess exposure cases for insurance industry clients. In addition, Lisa handles professional liability, products liability and employment matters. She is also pleased to represent a number of non-profit corporations. Lisa is a frequent speaker on litigation and insurance topics and is an active participant in the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program.

Ms. Mann was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on October 8, 1960; she was admitted to the bar, 1985, Texas; 1986, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas; 1987, U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit; 1988, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas; 1992, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; 1993, U.S. Supreme Court.; 2004, U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas; 2007, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas.
